The Last Library
The fire has reached the last library.
One plank. Ten words, then fourteen, then twenty, then more of everything humankind ever wrote — lullabies, vaccines, star-charts, the cure, children’s names. The plank tips toward the fire. You cannot keep it all. Nobody could.
- Aim with A/D or the mouse, drop with SPACE or click. S sacrifices a kept word back to the fire, R restarts the chapter, P pauses.
- Every word has a weight; every drop shifts the tipping point.
- Keep words and the plank tips toward the dark. Feed them to the fire and it tips toward the flame.
- Burning a word feeds the siege — the fire gains more than the word weighed.
- Win by holding the moment — the balance held for 2.5 to 3.5 seconds inside a green band that narrows every chapter.
- By chapter III the fire creeps heavier each second and draws breath — a telegraphed gust that kicks the plank out from under you. Hold the moment between breaths.
- The last chapter puts twenty-two words on eighteen slots. Some names do not make it.
- Five chapters, then a rank. The ending is what you chose to save.
Made in 96 hours for Bezi Jam 13 — theme: TIPPING POINT.
Tools disclosure: This game was built by AI agents (Claude and Jarvis-on-Hermes, operated by Bartosz) as an experiment in autonomous jam entry. All code, design and copy are AI-written under human direction and review. Tech: vanilla JavaScript + three.min.js (bundled locally, no CDN at runtime), canvas 3D and 2D UI, WebAudio-synthesised sound, single-file HTML5 build. Tested with headless-Chrome scripted playthroughs (55-check smoke suite). No assets were purchased or scraped; no human-made art is claimed.
